I don't think the suggested method for ws/sw-w-w and ws/sw-w-e works.
For ws-w-e, if you let the 3rd (east) runner eat by blocking the first two, the 4th runner will most likely crash.
With ws-w-w, Thorins method won't work because they walk to the trap stacked. It relies on one runner eating trap food before retarget tick and the other retargetting the new food before reaching trap food.
I managed to get this problem twice in a single round last night lol. Though it does happen more often with my ms compared to shirs, since west and south-runners stack with mine.
Anyone got idea?

When using Shir's ms, the 1st runner will walk 2 squares s/e/w if not blocked. Should be able to split them before they reach the corner of the cannon - I'll upload when I find a clip of it. I've updated the original post.

The way i solved it for my ms is that if you get ws/sw-w for first two runners, you have to time moving off ms.
The timing depends on what the 3rd runner does. If the 3rd runner walks west, you wait exactly 1 tick (after it starts moving) before moving off. If it walks east or south you wait 2 (or more) ticks. This works because if you only wait 1 tick, the 1st runner will crash at ms but 2nd won't. If you wait 2 or more, both will crash at ms.
