Hello everyone!
It is true, I have officially began the process of de-ironing my account: Dinosaurs. Given that everyone has only ever known me as an ironman and that this is primarily the only account I use, I felt it right to announce this here and avoid having to repeat myself to much when I lose my symbol in-game.
Reasoning:
As many of you know I spend the majority of my time studying/swimming nowadays, and this is very unlikely to change in the future. Yes, I will graduate in 3 years but who knows where I will be, Runescape will be, and if I will ever want to fully prioritise my account as it is now.
To be blunt, my lifestyle does not at all fit with the ironman grind, at all. I do not have the time to grind out slayer, solo endless bosses for ridiculous drop rates, skills at a slow as hell rate.. etc.
I want to enjoy the game as easily as I can. For the times I CAN actually log on to play, I want to not be handicapped by gear anymore. I want to raid, main attack, afk skill more efficiently etc. Not just say, log on for an hour a week and grind slayer for a year just to reach level 70..
This account was made near the time of ironman release and has been pretty stagnant throughout. I am proud of my commitment till this point, it is the only account I currently (fully) own. It is the only account I have ever achieved a level 99 on, let alone multiple. Thus creating another account alongside it would A: be to much time, B: not sit right with me. Dino is my account, and it is the only account I will play on in the future.
So yes! One day soon you will see me in game without my ironman symbol.
