Introduction
The purpose of this post is to describe a new mechanic in BA. Feel free to discuss its applications or whether or not it should be allowed in speeds, but this OP will only focus on describing the mechanic itself.
In July of 2017, LHC uploaded footage of a strange bug. When resetting in wave 1, he found that occasionally penance would die as soon as the wave started.
Here is the footage he recorded:
So what happened? In short, LHC's team was receiving credit for kills from their previous BA instance. The old instance had not yet been deleted and so when the NPCs died they gave credit that counted for the new instance. However, this bug rarely occurs. This is because when you create a new instance any old instances without players will be deleted. The only reason the bug worked in LHC's videos is because the monsters died on the exact same tick he started a new wave.
So can this bug actually be abused? Yes. The reason why you normally can't get kill credit from NPCs in an old instance is because the old instance is deleted before you start a new wave. However, you can prevent the old instance from deleting by keeping a player in the instance. The simplest way to do this is to have one player stall before they are kicked from the wave. If any NPCs die in the old instance, they will give kill credit to the original scroller of the instance, regardless of if the scroller is still in the instance.
Simple Example with Healers:
This clip begins with starting wave 1 as normal. First, two healers are poisoned. Next, a player begins stalling while another player goes up the ladder. The staller is then replaced by another player and a new BA round is started. However, the healers in the old instance are still set to notify the original scroller when they die. This causes all healers to be considered dead before the new team poisons a single one.

Final Comments
The key finding here is that not only can kill credit be received from penance NPCs in a separate instance, but the instance can remain open through the use of stalls. One example application is completing wave 1 in less than 30 seconds. However, it should be noted that all NPCs you want to receive kill credit for should be setup to die prior to leaving the instance. This is because the staller cannot interact with any NPCs while stalled.
Thanks for reading, and thanks to henke18 and Serpico for helping me test the idea.
