vid of me using it here (speedrun) I now use this for waves 6/7/8. It prevents runners moving after eating at mainstack, preventing a couple of crashes.
Also, it changes west runners into south runners (south multi).
Last 2 runners won't auto multi, but it isn't a problem for wave 6 and the last runner dies in time on wave 7/8.
How to prevent most crashes: Vid
the 3rd runner will crash if it goes south and an east runner eats at the trap. If you think a crash may happen, block the 3rd runner 1 tick if it goes south.
Usually, the south runner will crash into a spot where it can't see the trap, resulting in it going back to the mainstack. However, with this block it will stop it's movement 1 tile further north and can still target the trap.
you want to move to 1 square south of the runner, them move off at 21s (0:09 secs left on timer or when healer poison splats occur)
if it crashes east/south you can still 1-3 (36s multi). However, if it crashes west you need to 1-4 (42s multi).
I do this when i think a crash is likely to happen, usually for these perms (first 2 runners): ew-s, we-s, ew-e, we-e, ee-e

This method is mostly intended for speeds but feel free to use them in funs too! You can use this in leeches, here is an example of me using it in a leech for a full torso round. You just have to be at logs at 24s for a/c block. Also, you don't have time to block s-s(then west) crash. You can use this fix instead tho but requires fast food droppage. You can just re-lure the crashed runner if it's too difficult.
I recommend only using it for waves 6/7/8

I've tested this quite a bit and so far I've been able to 1 log every time.
I think this method is really helpful on waves 6-8, allowing you to spend less time at logs (helping healer spread) and being able to repair the trap much faster, possibly allowing you to get extra re-lures/lures.
The most beneficial wave to use this on is wave 7 as it allows you to kill all the runners and lure the 42 healer to the cannon (albeit to the east side).
With the regular method you have a chance of having to 2 log and may not be able to repair the trap, meaning you'd have to lose the lure or shoot the remaining 1/2 runners (in speedruns if healer is 2x osing)
You can even get 2 logs and still make it back to trap in time. This will give u an extra multi you can use / extra safety net if things go wrong.
The Method:
- Drop 2 food north-east of trap food
- Drop 1 food on the normal trap spot
- Drop trail and mainstack
- If the first runner's movements are e-e or w-e, you need to block it by standing in one of the blue squares or the runners will crash

Also, if the first runner went west-south and the second runner is east you need to block that as well. make sure you lose aggro of the 3rd healer. - Grab hammer/logs in whatever order u prefer and head back to the trap.
- If the first 2 runners were south-south, block the runner 1 tick if it moves west to prevent a crash. (00:26 in the vid)
an example of the 1 tick block: youtu.be/-SyejSNVzOo?t=389 - If runners crash, either drop a food or stand on top of the north-east food. pick up the food around 33 secs (after the runners move 2/3 tiles). Then place new food at the trap. If you have to do this you'll have to multi at 42 secs

if runners don't crash, place a food at the trap. As long as you drop it in time the runners will re-target to the food you just placed. You can place down any food it doesn't matter, just drop enough right food when u get the call.

If a runner eats the north east food just before 30 secs, make sure it targets the new food if u plan to multi at 36 secs.
Sometimes the runner walks another cycle and you'll have to multi at 42s.

Other things:
- If you get a triple westie the wave might be ruined (0.5% chance of this happening). This method by Hendi may salvage the wave - youtu.be/N6vQ3sPYofA
I think you could probably recover the runners but may have to multi-them later and lose the 42 spawn.
- Once i had a runner stand still where you drop trap food (at 30s). If this happens drop food 1 tile south (directly on top of trap) or it will immediately eat your food, breaking the trap.
- If the last 2 runners are east-south drop a food south of the trap (after multi-ing) so that they don't crash.
