This is probably one of our biggest updates as a clan. Brace yourselves.
We are changing our ranking system to include Gamble Counts. Also we are being much more transparent about Star promotions.
CBA **NEW** Ranking System:
Smiley - 2-3 days active at BA with intent for long term activity
Recruit - 100 GC + 15 days after Smiley
Corporal - 250 GC + 30 days after Recruit
Sergeant - 500 GC + 45 days after Corporal
Total = 500 GC + 90 days
Note: Gamble counts from alts COUNT toward your overall rank on a single account.
Lieutenant - a Sergeant who has been ranked as Sergeant for at least 3 months, has been active in the CC for at least 180 days (6 months), is a person of exceptional moral character, and does at least one of the following:
Captain - a Lieutenant who has been ranked as Lieutenant for at least 6 months, has been active in the CC for at least 365 days (1 year), demonstrates the ability to inspire others to follow, and does at least one of the following:
General - a Captain who displays many, if not all, of the Captain qualities, is willing to serve the clan and its needs, and guides CBA toward success and growth. There is no time requirement for becoming General.
Why are we including GC in the ranking system?
We want the clan to be more centered around the mini-game of Barbarian Assault. Setting goals and offering rewards is great way to keep our members driven to continue playing. We want our ranks to reflect the high achievements and experience of our members. We want a simple, yet objective way to measure activity at BA.
We are not trying to drive people away from being in the CC with this change. We have noticed many people still stay and chat in the CC who are unranked, meaning ranking does not impact the social interaction within the CC. Anyone (ranked or unranked) is welcome to be in/use our CC who abides by our simple rule set.
Why is time-in-CC still a part of the ranking system?
We want there to also be a level trust built into the ranking system. Trust is difficult to achieve, but we believe it is done over time. A person should not be able to enter CBA with 250 GC and be given immediately a rank of Corporal.
However, we also do not expect ranks to be able to meet new gamble count bench marks in the allotted time between ranks. The time-in-CC bench mark is there for ensuring trust and commitment with the clan, NOT as a deadline for achieving a certain gamble count.
What are the next steps?
Ranks will have ONE MONTH (until September 16th) to submit their gamble counts to ANY STAR RANK so that the Admins can update ranks respectively in the CC. If you do not submit your gamble count within that time period, you will be de-ranked.
Our de-ranking method of '60-days un-seen within the CC' will still serve as the bench mark for being de-ranked.
Over time, we may increase the bench marks for achieving each rank with higher GC requirements.
If you have any questions please let us know. This is a transitional time, so any guidance/support from the community is greatly appreciated.
