September Round-Up
Welcome to another monthly round-up! In early August, Spud & Co. managed to collectively burn out most of the SBA community when he obliterated the previous WR by 12 seconds, achieving a spectacular 10:24 WR.
Suffice to say, speeds went into a in a bit of a lull after that. "S+4" riddled our teamfinder channel, with the occasional "S+1" shortly followed by "S+2 was hoping it'd fill 2 hours ago." :rly:
Despite all this, we saw a noticeable surge in speeds this month!
SBA Tournament Hype
Sparked by the SBA Tournament that started in the middle of this month we noticed a sharp increase in speeds filling. We had 2 speeds active most hours of the days shortly after announcing the teams, and at the peak we had 3 speeds active at the same time.
Week 1 of the tourney just finished and we have 5 more to go (and a finale 6 weeks from now)! If you want to follow the action and see who picks up the 510M tourney pot feel free to join our discord using the link at the bottom of this post!
Leagues Revitalized
In an attempt to breathe some life into leagues to address the declining participation the past few months, we decided to move the leagues to discord and introduced some new rewards. Since then we've had more submissions and attention brought to them. Therefore, we've decided to stop updating the leagues thread of the forums on an on-going basis, and instead only update it at the end of the month - see League Info if you want to see what it looks like now!

Blacklist Changes
To assure leagues stay competitive, we need to nerf some players that are simply too OP.
NEW PERSONAL BESTS!
More activity means more PBs. Many more. In September we saw a grand total of 10 new PBs, with none other than Chrisdog breaking his 10:42 curse and crushing it by no less than 5 seconds. We'd also like to congratulate those who have achieved their new shiny PBs in CBA! If you want to make an appearance on next month's list, make sure to submit it using the google form that you can find at the personal best rankings.

In The Horizon...
As collectors have started fine tuning their blue-shooting abilities, defenders perfecting the art of reluring and Trou's 1-log method, and mains are becoming more comfortable with the new tools in their arsenal, the future is looking bright for any healers looking to shave seconds of their PBs.
There is also the hunt for the first ever sub 10:00 round, which is looking very likely as long as key players keep improving the duo heal meta.
Lastly, the final week of the tourney is at the end of October, with the finale being at the start of November.
Needless to say, we have a lot to look forward to. Catch you in a month!

| Tourney TL;DR Each week teams play 3 rounds, and all players swap roles each round. At the end of the week their times are compared against an opposing team. They get 2 points for each win or 1 for a draw. It lasts 6 weeks, with the finale being at the end of the 7th week. (Weekend of November 1st-3rd). In the finale, the two teams with the most points play a best of 5 traditional race style where everyone on the team has to play every role.
