This is an explanation of how roles are picked in the arrow room when all five players choose "I'll be any role!". Role orderWhen assembling a team, the arrow room will take the first 5 players it finds and assign them roles in the order A>D>C>H, where the first attacker will also be the scroller. One of the roles will be given out to two players before moving on to the next, and it's random which this is. This means that possible roles for a player depends on in which order they were found by the arrow room. This is shown below: Found by arrow room
| Possible roles
| First | Attacker (Scroller)
| Second | Attacker or Defender
| Third | Defender or Collector
| Fourth | Collector or Healer
| Last | Healer |
How does the arrow room find players? It does this by looking through the 8x8 areas shown in the picture below. The digits represent the order these areas are searched. Within each area it will find players based on the order they entered the area, where the last player who entered is found first, and so on. ExamplesSay that you want to always be an attacker. To do this you have two options: - Reach the door (area 3) last in your team. This works as long as none of your teammates run to area 1 or 2 inside the room.
- Run to area 1 or 2 after entering the room.
If you instead want to be a healer, you need to either: - Reach the door first.
- Move to areas 4, 5 or 6 after entering the room.
