You've all been patiently waiting to hear about the Run Escape event, and now it's time!
WARNING: This event will require you to skull in a pvp world. DO NOT bring any items of value.
Run Escape is a deadly relay race that takes place in a pvp world. You and your team of 3 other players (4 person teams) will compete to be the fastest team to reach the final destination! But of course, there is a catch. For each leg of the race, a different person on your team will be the runner. Everyone else on the team will be a snarer. It is their job to both protect their team's runner from opposing snarers, while also delaying the other team and their runner.
Your race begins in the far reaches of Zeah, in the small fishing hamlet just East of Wintertodt.
From here, you'll race to various (unrevealed) checkpoints as quickly as possible. At each checkpoint we'll have a small intermission for remaining runners to catch up, for snarers to re-gear, and for runners to prepare. The team that reaches the final checkpoint with the lowest cumulative time will be declared the Run Escape winner.

The Rules
Because of the narrow combat bracket pvp worlds give us, we are restricting this event to accounts with combat levels of over 80.
Teams will be picked at the ba lobby in a sunday race style captain draft format. If there are enough, players with a combat level under 100 will be placed into a separate pool to be picked. This is to avoid teams stacking lower combat players.
Each person on your team must race at least one stretch of the race. Teams with fewer than 4 members may let someone race twice.

Runners
- Must wear a Team-16 cape to be easily identified as a runner.
- Cannot use teleports, minecarts, or agility shortcuts during your stretch of the race.
- Cannot retaliate or attack players in any way.
- Cannot use protect from magic overhead prayer.
- Cannot stay at low health to purposely die to a snare. Snare does 2 damage, so some food is needed.
- Death will result in your race time counting as +10s of whatever the last place runner finished at.
- Must have no equipped weapons or armour aside from the team cape
- MAY use defense boosting prayers & potions.
- MAY use movement techniques such as mithril seeds and firemaking.
- MAY use any stamina restoration items.
Snarers
- Must only use the Snare or Bind spells. Every other combat spell including entangle ice magic, and tb is banned for use against other players.
- Cannot use Swampbark armour.
- Cannot wear the Team-16 cape, to avoid confusion.
- Ancestral is banned, to avoid unnecessary item risk.
- DO NOT risk anything you are not comfortable losing. You will be skulled. Additionally, this is a pvp world, and we may encounter pkers.
- DO NOT intentionally damage or kill runners or other snarers. Your goal is not to harm or kill players, it is to slow them down. Any players killed will incur a 1 minute penalty on your race time and will lead to disqualification if continued.
- MAY use movement hindering items such as dragon spears or mud pies. Items that deal more than a small amount of damage are not allowed, such as the ZGS.
- MAY use any teleports at any time
- MAY use any prayers including protect from magic
- MAY snare other runners and snarers
