Tournament
All the usual speedy suspects showed up for this one. 12 stacked teams led by gamers of wisdom and might competed for the prize this year, and competition was fierce through four rounds. In the end it came down to four teams each led by Tier S speeders in their own right. But it wouldn't be right if this year's tournament winning team wasn't led by the man who is part of every standing world record right now (it's true see for yourself). It wouldn't be a summer kickoff without recognizing our most valuable- or perhaps most visible- community members. Congratulations to all award winners!
Usually, there are two more awards: Mr. CBA and Mrs. CBA, going to the players with the most total votes and most category nominations.

Promotions
Pet Pursuit
Officially started on January 13th, 2023, Casual Ba sought to obtain all pets as a group. The following six months saw nearly every pet drop in the game for an incredibly wide range of players and circumstances. From Don Moochie's ultra spooned Bloodhound pet on 14 master clue kc to AbyssWalkerr's Pet Penance Queen at 5223 gc, CBA paid out for the first 50 penance queens and the first pet for all other content in game. One pet still eludes us: Pet Dagannoth Prime. So get your ass to dks and let's end this once and for all! To reflect on progress made, click here.

Day 1 - Saturday 10th
Manhunt
As always this elusive event managed to entertain everybody as the official start to the festivities. Led by Scorchbeast and supported by navimydude thiccqueen Rizla King Okwme Poor Tnk crimblue and Barbieasault, this kickoff's manhunt led players across Gielinor in search of a pair of hosts for eight different locations. In the end, there was no way around it. Team 4321 [Four qts, three manhunt victories, two beers, one pinch of snus] routed the competition. Scavenger Hunt
Would it shock you to learn that Scorchbeast went absolutely above and beyond by hosting two fabulous events back to back on a summer-y Saturday evening? Well if so you better ground yourself because he certainly did just that. In the second of three search-themed events for the night, Scorchbeast picked 28 items of.... unconventional status and, with the help of Radeo owlyqt and shnerpy , set the CBAers on a quest to find them all.

Social Night
Normally, CBA Social Night is a raucous good time fully of skribblio, gartic phone, and Discord events. And this time was no different! Well, it was a little different. Alongside Land.io discord events and gartic phone, CBAers played prop hunt! The basic premise of prop hunt is you get turned randomly into an item or npc from OSRS and you try your best to hide in a certain location. 20 or so people hid across Falador, Al Kharid, and Hosidius. The group lasted for several hours and had a wonderful time. For more info on prop hunt, check out the video below from j1mmy.
Day 2 - Sunday June 11thCharity Stream
Our main stream men boz and thegame , joined by ;-; special guest b5, put on quite the show during the charity stream. This year we chose the charity GameChanger, an organization aimed at putting games into the hands of hospitalized children as well as providing emergency aid to the families of those children. It is a great charity run by a golden-hearted gamer, please give them some love and check them out here. Casual Ba raised $1,075, more than doubling our goal! Promotions
Without any Lieutenant promos this time around, CBA had to go extra hard in the captain promotions. This individual provides everything that is needed in a good CBA member: a love of ba, teaching skills, a sense of humor, good taste in music, and a categorical ignorance of important cultural touchstones. This captain is a pleasure to spend time with in game and in voice chat and is surely single-handedly responsible for the proliferation of the modern yolo blue egg. Congratulations to this handsome gamer, our newest captain shnerpy !
There was also an admin promo- myself! In the words of Ugne G herself, "We have many great captains but I don't think anyone would get upset if I said that this guy is just on a completely different level. He's always been going above and beyond, always there to help, always making sure everyone is enjoying their time here. When he got promoted to captain I told him, he's gonna be admin and it won't take long. If you ask me, it took too long already."
