I find arrow room races to be a lot of fun. If you've never done an arrow room race; basically everyone uses the arrow room and selects "I'll be any role!" after every wave. In doing so, teams and roles are randomized. There is still a winning team, but its much more rng dependent rather than skill (for example getting two attackers rather than two collectors). I consider it a unique and refreshing way to enjoy BA and a break from the competitive speed-style format that exists in races. I've only been able to do arrow room races once or twice. I want arrow room races!

I tried Barbarian Assault for the first time for the double xp when the penance horn came out

We were doing arrow room tonight, and it would make me solo attack too many times. We kinda figured out that the way the randomization works, there is a strong likelihood that the last guy into the room is an attack. We tried having Merri wait until I'd gotten into the arrow room and it refrained from making me solo attack so often . . .

It's based on location. Some squares in the room have a specific role linked to them. If you all DD it's more random.
